The Anthology Group

The Anthology Group is made up of Anthology Studios, Anthology Advisory and parent company, Anthology Media.

Anthology Studios is currently made up of six television and film production companies, a theatre production company and a licensing company, all operating across the UK and internationally. Anthology Advisory incorporates a media investment fund and media investment advisory businesses. The Group combines creativity and financial expertise to develop and produce scripted and unscripted television, film, digital and theatre content. The Group was founded by Bob Benton to bridge the gap between creativity and finance. Hilary Strong is Chief Executive Officer.

The Team

Bob Benton.

Chairman, Anthology Advisory and Founder

Having enjoyed a 30-year career in broking and investment banking, Bob transferred his expertise to the development and production of media content.  He founded Bob &Co in 2010, which rebranded as the Anthology Group in 2018.  Bob has executive produced multiple productions across film, theatre, and television.

Hilary Strong.

CEO, Anthology Group

Hilary has over 25 years’ experience in both the creative and commercial aspects of programme making, executive producing, and commercial strategy. In her previous role as CEO for Agatha Christie Ltd, she transformed the brand into a modern global multi-platform force across feature film and TV, publishing, stage and digital platforms. Prior roles include Managing Director of Acorn Productions, Group Commercial Director at Chorion Limited, and fourteen years as Group Business Director at Hat Trick Productions.

Carolyn Bennett.

Chairman, Anthology Media

Carolyn is a director of Northcroft Films Ltd, an investment and co-production company supporting projects in film, television and theatre. Carolyn is also Chairman and majority shareholder of Aqua Financial Limited, a financial advice and commercial insurance company. Carolyn Bennett's professional experience bridges creative content and finance.

Jeremy Mills.

Chairman, Anthology Studios

Jeremy is an award-winning TV executive and co-founder of Lion Television. Lion TV became one of the top UK indies, producing hundreds of hours of ground-breaking TV, before its sale to All3Media. Prior to Lion, Jeremy was a leading producer and executive producer at the BBC, delivering a diverse range of programmes including live magazines, quizzes, current affairs, drama and documentaries.

Freddie Ryecart.

CFO, Anthology Group

Freddie is Chief Finance Officer of the Group and a Director and founder of Ghost Light Theatre Productions. Freddie specialises in theatre production and investment advice. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PWC where he trained as an auditor, specialising in mid-cap London based media companies.

Polly Benton.

Head of Business Development, Anthology Group

Polly joined the Anthology Group after five years working in distribution and strategy at NBC Universal International, before which she worked as a fund analyst in the City. Polly heads up business development for the Group, predominantly focused on the Advisory business.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Caitlin Ferrara.

Director, Bob & Co Productions

Caitlin was the first employee of Bob &Co, the original name of the Anthology Group, and has worked with Bob Benton since 2010. In addition to developing content with Bob, Caitlin supports the PR and marketing functions of the Group.

Orla Magee.

Director of Operations and Executive Assistant, Anthology Group

Orla brings 20 years' experience having spent the previous 12 with two successful creative technology agencies from start-up to SME. She brings with her considerable experience across Operations, HR, Production and Finance functions. Orla also manages the CEO’s and CFO’s offices.

Anmol Chibber.

Financial Controller, Anthology Studios

Anmol heads up financial management of Anthology Studios. Anmol previously held the role of Group Financial Controller at Argonon Limited and prior to that Head of Finance at Warner Bros’ Television Production division. He trained as an auditor and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Mazars.

Roger Brown.

Financial Controller, Anthology Advisory

With 25 years’ experience, Roger manages the day to day finances for the investment advisory business. Roger previously worked in the music, entertainment and media industries and trained in a blue-chip multinational.

Philomina John-Finn.

Bookkeeper, Anthology Group

Philomina manages the bookkeeping for many of the Anthology Studios’ production companies. Philomina has previously worked in finance for start-up companies in fashion and media. She has been with Bob &Co since 2014 in finance and has enjoyed watching the group grow.

Helen Callaghan.

Group Production Assistant, Anthology Studios

Helen Callaghan joined in 2016 as Group Production Assistant. She previously spent time coordinating operations at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Cambridge Arts Theatre. She has produced sell-out theatre productions in Edinburgh, and at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter. Helen now supports the MD’s of the Anthology Studios’ companies and provides group level production support.

Clemency Warner.

Intern

Clemmie joined Anthology in September 2018 having graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a First Class BA in History.  At Anthology Group, Clemmie provides administrative support for the development offices as well as script coverage and research.
